About
Mona Thompson is an improv performer, teacher, and creative facilitator living in Washington, DC. She has performed and taught in Norway, Finland, the Netherlands, and 21 cities around the United States with her two-woman group, Mona and Shara Do Improv. She has taught improv at Stanford, Harvard, MIT, BATS Improv, Un-Scripted Theater Company, Stagebridge, and San Mateo High School. In 2014, she co-founded Collective Capital, a change and innovation consultancy that helps organizations become more curious, generous, and resilient using tools from improv and design thinking. She has her Ed.M. in Arts in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she studied improvisational theater, communication, and group learning design.
